The annual general meeting (AGM) of ICA-Kingston was held on Saturday, at 11 a.m. on 29th August 2020  via zoom.

President, ICA-Kingston, gave an overview of the organizational structure and the vision of the new committee that was formed in July 2019. He gave a quick update on all the activities conducted by the ICA executives and many of the volunteers of the community during the past year. 

Vice-President, ICA-Kingston, updated on the special initiative taken during the COVID-19 pandemic time to help the members of the community, especially the international students who were stranded or having other immediate needs like groceries or temporary accommodation.

Secretary, ICA Kingston, updated on some of the special projects that the ICA has started and continues to do such as the membership drive and the ICA’s new website. She also highlighted the special evening celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at the City Hall.

Treasurer, ICA-Kingston, was not able to attend the AGM and in his place, President updated the financial statement of the ICA-Kingston for the year 2019-2020. The financial statement was approved by the community members. He gave a brief overview of the upcoming events to keep the community engaged during these difficult times and to stay active and safe. 

On the same day, 29th August 2020, a matching dollar amount for the afternoon lunch to Martha’s Table was given as a charitable donation.
